A dorama adapted from a novel by Yokoyama Hideo, 顔 takes the point-of-view of the police artist, i.e. the one who sketches images of suspects from witnesses' descriptions.

Yukie plays Mizuho Hirano, a once police artist who made a mistake with the criminal sketch and brought disgrace to the Japan Metropolitian Police. She was demoted to the PR department where all she had to do was coordinate the reporters for news releases, conduct traffic awareness in schools and create posters.



Nishijima Kosuke(Odagiri Joe) works on the front line of crime cases, but deep inside him lies an abusive nature, a side of him that beats up criminals captured at the crime scene with an intent to rid the world of these useless pests.

Nishijima is also a huge MCP, looking down on girls, esp those in the police force, deeming them incapable of doing anything right.


The story plot din leave an impression in my mind, seeing that I cant remember now the reason why Mizuho had to work with Nishijima and the deep past of the 2 of them. All I could remember was both of them were patients of the police psychiatrist, thou Nishijima was an unwilling patient, and Mizuho probably had a lead to one of Nishijima's cases to start off their working relationship.

So.. yeah.. not fasinating, even thou Yukie received an award for this show.
